Why does my garage door open but not close?
That pattern almost always means the safety sensors. The opener will still raise the door, but it will not lower it while it thinks something is in the way. Check for a bin or a box in the beam, then look at the small lights on both sensors before calling.
What does a blinking sensor light mean?
It normally means the two eyes are not seeing each other: knocked out of alignment, dusty, or with a broken wire between one of them and the motor head.
